COMMENT REVIEWED REFSEQ: This record has been curated by NCBI staff. The
reference sequence was derived from AC018755.3.

Summary: This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor of
mammalian phagocytic cells that is a member of the G-protein
coupled receptor 1 family. The protein mediates the response of
phagocytic cells to invasion of the host by microorganisms and is
important in host defense and inflammation.[provided by RefSeq, Jul
            2010].

Transcript Variant: This variant (1) represents the longer
transcript. Both variants 1 and 2 encode the same protein.

Sequence Note: The RefSeq transcript and protein were derived from
genomic sequence to make the sequence consistent with the reference
genome assembly. The genomic coordinates used for the transcript
            record were based on alignments.

Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the
publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Gene
            record to access additional publications.
